Austin Office:

In-office Foot and Ankle Procedures

Because of the advanced skills of our doctors, there are many procedures we can offer in our offices. Some of these procedures treat problems on the surface of your foot or ankle. Others may require minimally-invasive surgery to reduce or eliminate pain or correct a condition.

We can perform many types of minimally-invasive surgery immediately so you can start healing as soon as you get home. If a procedure can be accomplished with only a local anesthetic and an extremely small incision, then it can probably be provided in our office.

Here are some of the types of care we offer every day in our Southwest Austin office:

  • Ingrown toenail correction
  • Plantar wart removal
  • Lesion biopsy
  • Foreign body removal
  • Callus removal
  • Heel pain treatment
  • Care for simple fractures
  • Abscess treatment
  • Hammertoe correction
  • Fungus treatment
  • Care for sprains
  • Steroid injections for inflammation

Immediate X-Rays and Convenient Advanced Imaging

In both offices, we have the capacity to offer immediate digital x-rays. If you’ve broken a toe or other bone, we’ll know in minutes and can begin your treatment.

We also have advanced imaging capabilities just down the hallway from our offices. If you need more detailed imaging before we begin your in-office procedure, we can get that done for you quickly. Our goal is to get you walking normally and pain-free as soon as possible.

We also have many foot and ankle care products that you may need as your problem is resolved. If you need a CAM (Controlled Ankle Movement) boot, ankle brace, shoe inserts or other therapeutic devices, we can help you right away.

Early Diagnosis and Treatment

If you notice a new pain, swelling or growth on your feet, it’s vital to have it checked out at your first opportunity. Feet are very complex structures. Each foot has 26 bones and 33 joints. A problem with one of these joints or the muscles, ligaments and tendons connecting them may have subtle signs at first.

You may find that one or both of your feet are swollen. Maybe it’s a little painful to walk and you have to compensate for the pain. Your heels may hurt, especially first thing in the morning. There’s a painful growth on the bottom of your foot. Working with our expert podiatrists, you can be reassured that the symptom is easily treatable in our office or get a diagnosis of a problem that needs more comprehensive care.

If you are diabetic, you should definitely establish a relationship with one of our podiatrists and get regular care for your feet. Regular examinations and treatments as soon as they are needed can help you prevent serious changes in your feet and lower legs resulting from this condition. With diabetes, even minor problems can quickly escalate into more serious problems that can endanger your foot. Please see us immediately as soon as you notice a change.

We are proud to serve the needs of our communities with the very best and most comprehensive foot and ankle care in the Southwest Austin area.
